CLASS 1 HGV DRIVER – STEEL DELIVERY

Pay: £17.89 per hour
Hours: 48 hours per week
Contract: Permanent from day one

Owen Payne Recruitment are looking for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver with steel delivery experience to join an established and professional transport team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver looking for a secure, permanent position with excellent benefits, regular home-daily work and very few nights away.

THE ROLE

You’ll be responsible for delivering steel products safely and efficiently to construction sites, motorway compounds and other customer locations across the region.

This is a great role for drivers who enjoy being on the road while still having a strong work-life balance.

Early starts are required, with some shifts starting from around 4:00am. Drivers are generally back at the yard around 2:00pm, making this a predominantly home-daily position.

YOU’LL NEED

  • A valid Class 1 HGV licence and CPC
  • Steel delivery experience – essential
  • Good safety awareness
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Flexibility and reliability for early starts
  • HIAB experience is advantageous, but full training can be provided
