Labourer/General Operative

Owen Payne are recruiting for a Labourer/General Operative to join our steel manufacturing client in Oldbury. This position will be working closely with the site manager and within the yard.

This position will be the right position for someone who has previously worked around slinging machines or worked onsite as a Labourer.

**Immediate start available!** **Temporary to Permanent position available!**

Duties:-

  • Loading/Unloading products onto trailers
  • Quality checking of products being moved
  • Taught how to operate a slinging machine
  • Manual handling
  • Working with steel products
  • Various labouring duties

Hours of work:-

  • Hours will mainly be days (8:30AM till 5PM Mon-Thu & 8:30AM till 4PM Fri)
  • However maybe requirements to work other hours such as Mornings/Afternoons

Rate of pay:-

  • £10.00 – £11.00 per hour to begin with, however this will increase once trained.
