Owen Payne Recruitment is recruiting for Gatehouse Security Officers on behalf of our client based in Smethwick who are a leading Steel Manufacturer.

 To be deemed suitable for these roles, you must have previous Gatehouse Security experience (CCTV and weighbridge), must be SIA trained and hold a full UK drivers’ licence.

Key duties of the role include –

• Complete regular internal and external patrols
• Control vehicle movements in and out of the site
• Ensure no vehicles block the traffic flow
• Ensure no unauthorised persons enter the site
• Ensure all goods vehicles are weighed in and out
• Deal with any enquiries politely and tactfully
• Manage the movement of contractors
• Complete daily site report after each shift
• Record all potential breaches of security
• Monitor CCTV camera and report any faults
• Ensure full compliance with relevant health and safety regulations
• Ensure the fire doors are free from obstruction
• Enforce the speed limit on site
• Keep security gatehouse clean and tidy
• Ensure cleaning staff sign in/out accurately
• Ensure the effective control and storage of keys, equipment and radios
• Any other duties within the job holder’s capability

 The ideal candidate will possess –

• Previous Gatehouse Security experience
• Must be SIA trained
• Full and valid UK driving licence
• Great attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills

Rate of pay –

• £12.71 per hour

Shifts available are: Must be flexible to work both shifts

• Monday to Friday – 2pm till 10pm
• Sunday to Thursday – 10pm till 6am
